Soundwalking is a practice that uses walking as a primary way to explore landscapes aurally to gain information on acoustic ecology of site-specific places. ‘The primary functions of soundwalks, according to Hildegard Westerkamp, are “orientation, dialogue and composition” (Paquette and McCartney, 2012).
